Ayurveda for the modern workplace

Keynotes, workshops, and multi-week series translating an ancient science of rhythm for the bodies — and teams — you actually have.

Why this work matters

We are not disconnected because we lack information. We are disconnected because we lack orientation.

We are not disconnected because we lack information. We are disconnected because we lack orientation.

Optimization culture has given your team more data than any generation in history — and less ability to translate it into a life that holds. The nervous system is dysregulated. The calendar is fragmented. The body is sending signals no one is listening to.

And as AI takes over more of the cognitive load, the part of the work that is irreplaceably human becomes more valuable, not less. Presence. Judgment. The embodied intelligence that lets people think clearly, lead well, and create what no model ever will.

Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest sciences of rhythm. It does not ask you to opt out of modern life. It teaches you how to live inside it without burning through your reserves.

This is the work I bring to teams.

About Lisa

Lisa Mistry-Ghatala spent seventeen years in Silicon Valley marketing before training as an Ayurvedic Practitioner. Today she is the founder of SOMA Lifestyles, a Board Member of the California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine (CAAM), and an Herbalist and Holistic Nutritionist.

She is, in other words, fluent in both worlds. She knows what it feels like to sit in the meeting. And she knows what your people are capable of when they are resourced and in rhythm — showing up with their full self, creative, expansive, performing at their best, and fulfilled in the work they were hired to do.

That dual fluency is what she brings to corporate audiences: ancient frameworks translated for the actual conditions of modern work, with no performance and no jargon.

Ways to work together

Every engagement is shaped to the room. These are the starting menu — most engagements end up somewhere on this list, adapted for your team’s actual context.

Lunch & Learn · 45–60 minutes

A focused teaching block over the lunch hour — virtual or in person. The lightest-touch way to bring this work into the calendar without rearranging it.

Keynote / Talk · 60–90 minutes

A single talk for a conference, all-hands, leadership offsite, or women’s event. Designed to land one idea cleanly with a room of any size.

Workshop · 2–3 hours

A live experiential session for a team — teaching, practice, conversation. Brings Ayurveda into the body, not just the slides.

Multi-Session Series · 4–6 weeks

A weekly cohort for your team, built on the same arc as Living SOMA — Lisa’s flagship six-week course — adapted for your people’s pace, context, and language. Recordings included.

Custom

If your team needs something that doesn’t fit a named shape — a half-day retreat, a fireside chat, a recurring monthly practice, a curated speaker series — say so. The best work usually starts with a real conversation.

Topics & themes

A short menu of talks for inspiration on what this can actually look like. All can be adapted for time, audience, and depth.

Rhythm in an Accelerating World — Why the nervous system breaks under optimization culture, and what ancestral rhythm gives back. The foundational talk: balance, presence, and the science of pacing in a world that doesn’t pace itself.

Sustainable Performance — How the highest-performing people stay that way. The Ayurvedic frame for doing more without breaking the system that produces the more.

Working in Your Nature — A practical framework for understanding your own nature — and your colleagues’ — so collaboration gets easier instead of harder. Includes an optional self-assessment for participants.

Lifestyle is Medicine — How the way your team eats, sleeps, and moves is doing more work than any wellness program. A reframe for benefits leaders, HR, and founders rethinking wellbeing.

Reading the Season — Why the natural calendar and the corporate calendar are not as misaligned as they look. Ritucharya, seasonal living, for the way work actually flows.

Custom topics welcome. Most of the named talks above began as a real conversation with someone who needed something specific.

Who this is for

Companies that take their people seriously — and want wellness programming that is intelligent, evidence-aware, and culturally grounded.

Common audiences: Leadership offsites · all-hands and quarterly events · employee resource groups — women’s, AAPI, mental health, wellness · executive coaching cohorts · conference programming · company retreats · women’s leadership networks · benefits and HR programs ready to move past one-off webinars.

If you’re building something thoughtful and you want a speaker who can hold both the corporate and the cultural without flinching, you’re in the right place.

Inquiry

Tell Lisa what you’re exploring. She reads every inquiry herself.

Thank you. I read every inquiry myself, and you’ll hear back within two business days.

Lifestyle is medicine. Ayurveda is the framework. Nature is the guide.
